This book is a "must have" for anyone diagnosed or caring for someone who is diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Even though I have already had the surgery I found the book to be very helpful when discussing the disease with friends and colleagues. It takes a lot of soul searching to come up with the right course of treatment to follow. The many different experiences related here could make a difference in the way you feel or reassure you that you are on the right track. I found the detail to be very true to my experience and I only wish I had this book 4 years ago when I was diagnosed.The one thing that I brought away from my reading was that I was not alone, and that was the major thought in my mind when the call came in from my Urologist! I urge anyone who has or supports someone who has prostate cancer to read this book!YOU ARE NOT ALONE....

An excellent book for those newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and wanting more information, especially treatment options, outcomes, side effect info and in general just what to expect from those who have been there. . This is a book about hope and looking up, not down. Direct, straight to the point, no frilly glossing over.
My husband appreciated the first hand reports of individuals who had been through the different options for a "cure". Their experiences helped him to decide the treatmenthe is going to use.
